Identify the right model: SM-A716S
This sheet covers the Galaxy A Quantum launched in Korea in May 2020, not the Galaxy Quantum2. Check SM-A716S in the device settings and seller documents before comparing listings. A shortened “Samsung Quantum” name is not enough to identify the device.
The 8 GB figure is RAM; 128 GB is nominal storage, partly occupied by the system and bundled apps. The Super AMOLED Plus display is specified at 1080 × 2400 pixels. Android 10 describes launch software, not the software installed on a particular used handset. Ask for its current version and security-patch date rather than assuming future updates.
“Quantum” does not mean a quantum application processor
The Exynos 980 runs applications. The separate QRNG component supplies random numbers for selected security functions. SK Telecom named T-ID, SK Pay and Initial at launch. That 2020 announcement does not establish their availability in Morocco today or imply that every app uses the feature. Do not pay extra merely for a claim that the entire phone is unhackable.
Check an imported phone's SIM and network support
Samsung lists one nano-SIM and a separate microSD slot for this reference, and identifies the n78 mobile 5G band. A listing saying “5G” does not establish service with your operator. Confirm the imported model, supported bands, plan and provisioning, then test calls and data with your SIM.
Practical used-device checks
- Use light and dark screen images to look for persistent AMOLED marks, and check touch response across the panel.
- With the seller's agreement, try each camera, the microphone, speaker and fingerprint reader.
- Inspect the USB-C port and try charging. The nominal 4500 mAh capacity does not tell you the health of a several-year-old battery.
- Ask about warranty and returns. Samsung lists no water/dust protection or wireless charging for this reference; do not infer those features from another Galaxy.
No current Moroccan retailer price or stock has been confirmed for this sheet. Compare the total dirham price, condition, possible screen repairs and written seller terms. Converting an old overseas price would not establish a local offer.
